coming in various sizes, an axe has many forms and specialized uses but generally consists of an axe head with a handle. they may be chakra enhanced.

a highly unique-designed trench knife, these blades are worn like brass-knuckles, but each one has a sharpened zigzag "tooth" over each knuckle, and a blade coming out of one end. the knives can be infused with elemental chakra or yin-yang chakra to produce added effects.

it is a claw with three blades which can be enhanced with the user's chakra, even the user's chakra nature. it has the same effect as the chakra enhanced trench knives.

this is a giant cleaver-like blade. it is broad with a fairly long hilt and has three hinges running along the blade itself that allows him to fold it when not in use and unfold it in battle.

dakō is a prototype weapon. it is a cross-shaped spear that can stretch, contract and bend.

this weapon has the ability to allow its wielder to perform any technique and allows them to use any of the basic nature transformations. the dragon blade also enables the user to cut and absorb their opponents' chakra, similar to samehada. finally, a very useful ability the sword has is to stay forcefully partial to its owner. using this blade is not without its drawbacks, though; in order to have complete control over the blade, the wielder must have exceptionally high levels of chakra.

the fire sword is able to emit and freely manipulate vast amounts of fire, capable of incinerating whatever is in its path. it can be used to send light beams as signals through the green sphere at the end of the blade. it can also be used to summon the infinite armor, the garian sword, and the weaknessless soaring shortswords.

the fuma shuriken is a large, four-bladed shuriken possessing pre-eminent sharpness and lethality. this type of shuriken is considered characteristic of the famous fuma clan, after whom they were named and possibly developed them. however, their use is not limited to this clan. its four blades can be collapsed for easy storage, leading to its nickname shadow windmill.

the sword has a metal wire passing through the blade. this wire controls its movements as the blade can expand and be shot after the targeted enemy. also, each of the sword's blades has the ability to react to the carrier's chakra, amplifying it, changing its form to that of a dragon, and manipulating it freely. the sword is also used as part of the ninja tools barrier: reverse fish scales formation collaboration technique.

the weapon features a wide, flat blade with two curved indentations near its base, creating a sort of cross-guard. two handles are connected to one another by a short length of cord, earning it the title of "twinsword". the overall sword looks like a flounder fish in shape and is also apparently very heavy. when unleashed, it emits chakra from the holes found at the top which coats the entire blade. the sword is capable of storing chakra and the two holes at the tip of the blade emit it on command. this can then be formed into various weapons, including a hammer or a longer sword. the size of the resulting weapon appears to depend upon the amount of chakra stored up beforehand, meaning a larger quantity will be met with a similar increase in the weapon's ultimate size. these weapons are also formed with notable speed. one of the swords from the seven swordsmen of the mist.

the johyo consists of a long rope, typically several meters long, with a handle attached to one end, and a metal dart attached to the other, acting as a weight which allows the user to throw the dart out at a long range target to blind them then either reel them in or perform an attack on them.

the kabutowari is one of the swords of the seven ninja swordsmen of the mist. the sword itself consists of a giant axe and hammer, linked end-to-end by a flat thin leather-like rope, which together are referred to as a "bluntsword" that is said to be able to break through any defense. when facing a particularly difficult or seemingly impenetrable defence; the wielder can first attack by striking with the axe, before slamming the hammer downwards onto its blunt backside, thus using the blade like a wedge to drive straight through the offending obstacle and into the desired target located behind.

a kama is a japanese sickle, used as a weapon. it has a short handle and a sharp beak that inflicts damage. there is also a variation of the kama: a kusarigama, which has a chain attached to it for increasing its attack range.

a sword, or a katana, is a long, bladed weapon used for combat. most swords used by main characters tend to bear little resemblance to real-life weapons. most shinobi appear to have a preference towards long and wide blades, while some ninja use swords in long-range instead of close-range combat.

kiba is one of the famous swords of the seven swordsmen of the mist. it is a pair of swords, each with slim and straight double-edged blades. both blades also have an upward-curved bladed prong near the tip of one side of blade and another one near the base of the blade's other side. they each have been imbued with lightning, displaying enhanced cutting power in a manner similar to the high-frequency vibrations of lightning-based chakra flow. it is this capability that has resulted in these "thunderswords" being claimed as the sharpest swords in existence.

the knight sword's normal appearance is that of a european-style short sword typically depicted being used by knights, however the sword's blade can extend, thus becoming a full-length broadsword. other than using the sword as-is, the user can channel gelel energy into the sword, drastically increasing the attack range and allowing the user to perform various techniques with it, such as raging thunder.

the kokutō is a unique sword. the blade is a katana with a darkened, non-reflective surface and is heavily coated in poison.

the konoha chakra blade is a standard blade wielded by shinobi from konohagakure. these blades have the appearance of elongated kunai with the konohagakure symbol on it and are made from a special metal that absorbs chakra. because of this, the blade can freely transform the chakra to produce added effects.

the blade itself has two cut outs, a circle close to the top and a semi-circular one nearer the handle, that aptly fit the sword's purpose of decapitation. the latter notch allows a strap to be wrapped around the weapon, making it easier for the user to carry. its extremely long handle is also detachable to further aid transportation and then reattached when required for combat. the heaviness of the blade could still tire the user out easily; like the other weapons employed by the seven ninja swordsmen of the mist, the sword possesses a unique power, this being its ability to reform itself using the iron harvested from the blood of its victims. this regenerative process takes place almost instantaneously and is capable of bringing the weapon back to its original condition no matter how severe the damage is, from a simple chip or nick to a complete separation of over half the blade.

kunai are a common ninja weapon. it is a black dagger designed for thrusting and stabbing, though it can still do damage if thrown despite being not designed for it, and is about the length of one's hand. many ninja attack by attaching an exploding tag to the blade. the kunai is usually thrown so that it lodges in an object near the target, and then the explosion from the attached tag destroys said target. kunai can also be kept on spring-loaded wires in the user's sleeve. they can be used for close combat, like a normal knife. empowered with "chakra flow", kunai thrown into targets can cut through solid wood and even solid stone targets. the ninja appear to use them so much due to both their sturdy and dependable nature and their versatility.

these are kunai-like blades. they have the general appearance of kunai with similar bases, but the blades instead are curved, elongated and single-edged, giving them similar appearance and function to swords. each of the blades has a small hole right near its long, bandaged hilt, which at its edge sports a larger versions of the standard ring all kunai have.

the sword is fairly long and thin, and has a rectangular hand-guard and a long hilt wrapped in bandages.

a kusarigama is a traditional japanese weapon consisting of a sickle attached to a chain. it may be used to attack opponents, or to incapacitate them with the chain. some skilled kusarigama users can even steal their opponents' weapons.

the nuibari is one of the swords of the seven swordsmen of the mist. the blade itself assumes the form of a narrow "longsword" that greatly resembles a large needle, with a long length of thin wire-mirroring thread, tied through the eye located at the base of its hilt. this sword is said to possess the ability to pierce all and stitch them together. a capable user can even throw the sword with the intent of piercing a line of multiple enemies, before catching the needle at the other side and repeating the process at different angles, in order to create knots of corpses with the wire passing through the entirety, effectively creating bundles of bodies at various points along the length of the thread.

the spear is a retractable cylinder that can be extended to its full size quickly. it can also be used for combat.

samehada is a large sentient sword, comparable in size to the kubikiribōchō. it is described as "the most terrifying of all the seven swordsmen's blades" and even earned the title of "greatsword", further adding to its fearsome reputation.

these scissor-like pincers were wielded by the fūma clan. the spring of the pincers is connected to the right arm and bicep by a black strip. using a white cord tied to the base of each blade and held in the hand, it allows the user to use the overly large pincers without much effort or using both hands.

shibuki (飛沫; literally meaning "splash") is one of the swords of the seven swordsmen of the mist. the blade utilities various explosive tags, contained within a substantial scroll, in order to incorporate explosions into the user's own swordsmanship, earning it the title of "blastsword". the sword itself features two distinct sides, with a narrow cutting edge located down the entirety of one length and a wide platform section on the other. the aforementioned scroll unrolls along this latter side, sliding downwards and resting atop its surface to form an individual segment comprised from numerous explosive tags, which separates from the remainder upon detonation. only once the desired opponent comes into contact with the platform, do the explosive tags finally ignite and then detach, providing a small opportunity for the user to escape the devastating blast radius, while simultaneously compensating for any resultant recoil. the sword is seemingly able to reload another segment of tags onto the platform, automatically after each strike.

the shichiseiken is a light blue broad and flat sword with a brown talisman hanging from the bottom. by saying the verbal command "curse", it can be used to sever the word soul of those struck by the kōkinjō, allowing the soul to be sucked into the benihisago. completing these conditions "curses" the victim; if they utter the word they have said the most during their life, they will be sucked into and trapped within the benihisago. whatever this word is will be inscribed onto the shichiseiken's blade. the wielder can fold the blade to prevent the victim from seeing what it is. if their most-used word changes at any point, the inscribed word will be updated. the shichiseiken is revered as one of the treasured tools of the sage of the six paths. all five of the tools consume enormous amounts of chakra when used, so much so that normal humans would die after using the tools for only a short period of time.

a shuriken, like a kunai, is one of the more basic weapons seen. they are sharpened, four-pronged metal stars, useful for throwing. although small, they can be used to distract, or, if accurate enough, can be deadly. they have an open circle in the center, used for grabbing with a finger, to avoid cutting oneself, or to put thread through. the circle is also a benefit in aerodynamics, as it ensures more accurate trajectories.

the stone swords are secret swords from mount myōboku. slate grey in color, the swords have a circular, hollow, pommel with a fairly long grip. a chain connects the pommel to the hilt of the sword which is joined to the blade. the wide blade itself has several markings resembling veins running down it's length.

supervibrato lightning release swords is the term used to refer to the distinctive swords. the characteristic shape of each sword not only makes them ideal for cutting, using either edge of the blade, but also means they can be thrown with great accuracy.

a sword is a long, bladed weapon used for combat. while most swords in naruto are traditional japanese katana, tantō, or ninjatō, swords used by main characters tend to bear little resemblance to real-life weapons, as is the case with the seven swordsmen of the mist's swords. other swords have mystical or special powers.

the sword of nunoboko is a large, double-helix shaped sword, formed from the malleable chakra of the ten-tails. the sword is a holy artifact which hagoromo had used to shape the world, and the blade was powerful enough to just as easily destroy it by his own hands.

the blade glows bright yellow and was apparently infused with pure electrical energy, hence its name. the blade was unusual in that, though it appeared to retract into or emanated from the hilt or crossguard like a lightsaber (and producing the same sound), it was apparently solid and subject to stressing and being shattered when sufficient force was applied.

a tanto is simply a small katana. several chunin have carried a tanto on the rear of their waist, although it is rarely used. the version root uses are double-edged and have no tip, meant only for cutting. they carry the tanto vertically on the back, behind the shoulder.

its main purpose is to aid in collecting blood. because of this, it is designed, not so much to kill the target, but to wound them, no matter how big or small the wound.

these are items used by the genjutsu tree village villagers to repel the genjutsu caused by the surrounding forest. because the area is surrounded by trees that naturally cause genjutsu the villagers created these bombs in order to aid them in breaking the technique. it is also capable of breaking genjutsu cast by people.

flash bombs are small around spheres that are attached to a kunai knife, similarly to a an exploding tag. once thrown, flash bombs explode on impact, creating blinding flashes, used as a diversion.

these bombs are blue crystal-orbs which, when detonated, will release a torrent of ice spikes. the ice rises with enough force to lift a large amount of earth off the ground.

sleeping gas is a chemical substance seemingly common among medical-nin. it can be stored in a spherical object that, when detonated, releases the gas, including a powerful sleep if inhaled.

the simple smoke bombs puffs out smoke when detonated, serving as a distracting to disrupt enemies. some smokebombs may contain poison or tranquilizer gas, making it deadlier than regular bombs.

these tags are special pieces of paper inscribed with the kanji to "tie" or "bind", which is short for the word "barrier". the tag most likely forms a barrier to protect whatever is located within the perimeter it forms. when these tags were used, shinobi were stationed above them which indicates that the technique might require maintaining.

using a tag similar to the exploding tag and placing it on a door, the user prevents anyone else from entering or leaving the room, similar to a padlock. by using a special hand seal, the tag disappears.

exploding tags are scraps of paper inscribed with a special writing, centering around the kanji for "explode". infused with chakra, they will explode after a set amount of time, remotely, or after being ignited by flame. the tags can be attached to a surface of wrapped around a weapon to be thrown at an enemy. they are very versatile and one of the basic ninja tools. ninja can confuse their enemies by obtaining fake exploding tags.

this is simply a group of explosive tags wrapped into a ball and used in the same manner as a cannonball with the added explosive effect. they are fired from cannons and are capable of dealing heavy damage. there is also the special variant used as underwater mines.

by using an explosive tag, the user disperses an odorless powder which when inhaled by their targets affects their five senses, slowing down their reaction times. this allows the users to freely dodge attacks while attacking their opponents.

by placing a sealing tag on an opponent or object, a substantial seal is generated that prevents the article in question from being summoned, as long as the originating tag remains intact. the seal generated will then spread across the target and intersect on the opposite side of where the tag is placed, where it will then knot itself in place, effectively sealing the opponent. they can be applied to various mediums such as doors, cloth and even sand. these tags can also be linked together to make the effect stronger. they can also be thrown from a great distance by attaching them to kunai. the tags can be removed if the sealing process is incomplete, but once complete, removing the tag seems to be extremely difficult through normal means by anyone who doesn't know how to remove it.

a ninja's jutsu may often involve use of various animals' most notably amoung the leaf ninja are the aburame clan; who form a symbiotic relationship with a beetle-like species of insect called the kikaichu. also, the inuzuka clan; which favors the use of canines in battle. in this first style of animal usage, the relationship between ninja and animal extends beyond battle; as they will be in each other's company for most of their lives. the ninja will develop a unqiue style to maximize coordination between himself and his animal partner(s). another form of animal usage comes from the summoning technique.

the benihisago is a giant brown-coloured gourd with a red cloth around it. it is able to take a person's word soul hostage by saying the verbal command "record". after the word soul has been drawn out by the kōkinjō and then severed from their body by the shichiseiken, it is absorbed into the gourd. completing these conditions "curses" the victim; if they utter the word they have said the most during their life, they will be sucked into and trapped within the benihisago. the benihisago is revered as one of the treasured tools of the sage of the six paths. all five of the tools consume enormous amounts of chakra when used, so much so that normal humans would die after using the tools for only a short period of time.

with skill in archery, and coming in a variety of styles, this weapon set can be used for hunting and fighting purposes.

this bubble blower can be used to perform soap bubble ninjutsu. it was golden in color and bent in the middle. it also has a tassel attached to it. it can create bubbles for many different purposes and could also be used as a melee weapon as it is very sturdy because it was able to block a kunai without any apparent damage to it.

the chain wnid staff is very similar to a short chigiriki, albeit it has a weighted chain attached to each end. it is summoned from a smaller scrolls and can be thrown like a boomerang of sorts. the quick rotation of the two chains was shown to be powerful enough to cut through the helmet of the cursed warrior.

the lion-headed kannon is used by advanced puppeteers as a means for using the sealing technique: lion closing roar. it is kept inside one of the puppets from the puppet collection of chikamatsu. it starts out as a small ball that can be held in one's hand, but when thrown grows out into a man-sized lion's head with numerous large fangs and its mouth wide open. it aimed correctly, the tool will pin the target against a wall with its mouth, making them unable to move.

when going into battle, a ninja may store a small combustible ember in their mouth. the ember must be bitten to be activated. the ninja can then spit the ember at a combustible substance to help ignite it.

this mace is a tool that is usually stored in a scroll and summoned in battle when necessary. the mace resembles a conch shell with numerous sharp protrusions all over its surface and a marking in the center that resembles an eye. its hilt is wrapped in bandages and a chain connects the mace to the base of the hilt.

a small, generally wooden, weapon with strings that propels small arrows or even kunai with a trigger.

using this flute, the user could cast genjutsu, summon, and control doki by playing specific melodies. if the opponent recognizes her melody the user can change it to confuse them.

a ninja tool stored in a large scroll. it's a metal sphere with kunai welded into it, which also has a hidden explosive tag that causes it to explode upon contact, sending out kunai and fragments of the sphere as shrapnel.

this weapon is a giant japanese war fan that has three purple circles along its metal body. the fan itself can also be used as a club or to block attacks. it also seems to be able to deflect kunai and shuriken when opened and can be lodged in the ground.

due to the conductive properties of gold, an alternating magnetic field can induce a current in it, which generates its own magnetic field, therefore small particles of it could be manipulated in a similar manner to that of the sand utilized by shukaku's jinchūriki. in sufficient quantities, this sand gold could be fashioned into a diverse range of forms. in the past, this weapon was instrumental to the protection of sunagakure.

a gunbai is a non-folding fan, usually made of wood. it was used in ancient japan by samurai officers to communicate with their troops. nowadays, it is used by referees of professional sumō matches.

the jidanda is a weapon that is a giant, spiked, iron ball that contains explosive tags inside of it. its handle, like the dako, is able to stretch and can even be used to attack the enemy. the spikes on the ball can also open to reveal the explosive tags for surprise attacks. because it is so large, explosive tags can be used to manoeuvre the ball into the air, using the recoil from the explosion. while in the air the wielder can extend the handle and swing the ball at the enemy like a giant flail.

makibishi are small, sharp objects that are mostly used to prevent someone from walking from one side to another, since they would hurt their feet if they tried to pass it. they're rarely used.

the manriki-gusari is a traditional chain weapon, with two steel-weights on the ends designed to strike, ensnare, or trap an opponent. one tactic was to bunch the chain in a fist and fling one weighted end into the face, groin, or solar plexus of an opponent, quickly and discreetly disabling or even killing them. typically, these weapons are three feet long, however, they do come in different lengths.

this mechanical drilling arm device is, as its name implies, an arm mounted weapon. acting as a gauntlet, the hand of the device consists of a mildly conical shaped palm with five long fingers. the hand section spins independently of the rest of the gauntlet and can be launched on a long cable before being retracted. it can be used to dig multiple holes, through which a person could dive underground and surprise the opponent. this drilling device was powerful enough to fatally injure any opponent with one single blow. it can also create trenches large enough for a large sail-boat to go through and create a cave in one shot.

a porous metal gauntlet used to amplify or absorb sound waves caused by the arm's movements. the sound waves caused by the melody arm can then be manipulated, and directed with chakra causing more damage. they can also bring on blurred vision, dizziness, as well as paralyzing the target of jutsu that are dealt by this weapon. it can also act as a defense by blocking kunai and shuriken.

they are a pair of large, metal gauntlets which also housed a long, retractable shuriken chain running between the two, which is used to bind an enemy and then shred them to pieces. in the event that the shuriken chain is neutralized, the gauntlets also have a release mechanism to free the user for individual attacks with the sharp claws on the fingers, poisoned for further lethality.

the user is able to use ninjutsu with the ocarina by playing a melody, enhancing an individual's strength and speed.

this gauntlet's first special ability, which is to petrify anything that it touches, activates when the user touches the target with it. the eye on his gauntlet will open and send chemicals through the target's body, turning the body into stone; the amount of body petrified is determined on how long the user grips onto their body and where. if treated with the appropriate medical ninjutsu the petrified portion can return to normal. if the body remains in this stone form for too long, though, it will remain petrified forever. also, the petrified bodies become brittle and fragile, making it easy to shatter, and killing the victim. the gauntlet's second ability is to manipulate other stone in a telekinetic manner.

poisons, toxins, and venom are all poisonous, intoxicating substances, powders, liquids, and gases, that can be used by ninja in combat. poisons come with a variety of effects from body weakness, paralysis, or death.

all puppets are different. however, they all work on the same fundamental principle. the puppeteer is a master of the puppet technique, and uses threads of chakra to manipulate the puppet's movements. a trend among puppeteers is to have hidden traps among their puppets, and to use poisons, smoke bombs, and other devices to incapacitate their enemy. often, the controller of the puppet is a weak close-range fighter. the use of puppet-related jutsu is most often associated with the hidden sand.

the retractable cable arm is a weapon that allows the user to launch a metal hand that can grab and swing the enemy on the ground or punch the foe. it can be instantly retracted. this device also have a number of other abilities, one of them being an inbuilt wire-launcher fired from a hole in the palm. another feature is an apparent "steam-boost", which can be used to give extra power to a melee attack, such as a punch.

sand, is a versatile material, most often employed by the shinobi originating from sunagakure for various purposes, including numerous supplementary functions ranging from concealment to disguise. however, the tool itself rose to prominence in the hands of the jinchūriki of shukaku, whom acquired the ability to manipulate sand through the beast.

senbon are metal needles with a point at both ends. they often serve a medical purpose, being used to strike acupuncture points. they have little killing power, but can be thrown with great accuracy. a user with proper medical knowledge can effectively use senbon in battle to incapacitate or even kill their target. to make these needles more effective, the user can poison the tips of the senbon. an added benefit of throwing these at the enemy is that these are smaller than a kunai or a shuriken, making it harder to see and dodge.

a suit with an unknown slimy substance which appears to be a mucus-like membrane, the suit enables the user to do a number of techniques, such as viscous water mass, create another limb from the slime of the suit, or use the slime's stickiness to trap the opponent. the suit also increases the user's attack power and camouflages the user's presence.

sōshūga is the name of a pair of nunchaku. each handle of these weapons is intricately carved into the shape of a chinese dragon-like creature, with scales engraved along their length and a head near the handle's base, while appearing to be linked together by a length of twisted cord.

the umbrella is a common weapon among ninja from amegakure. it can be equipped with many senbon that can be released with spring-loaded mechanisms, which are used to perform the senbon shower.

are types of medicines that act as a cure for various poisons. they can be administered to an infected person through several mediums. some poisons are complex, and therefore creating the antidote will require careful attention or else it could potentially kill the victim. specially trained, genius medical ninja can actually analyse and decipher the many different elements used in complex poisons and easily create a cure. they are usually a bottled liquid but can be anything from a flower or powder.

eye medicine plant is a rare medicinal herb that can be found in the valley of judgement and is noted to be great for eye-strain.

this is a healing cream used to heal wounds.

these dart-like shots are used by medical-nin. they are filled with a fast-acting chemical that will knock out the target within seconds. a advanced blow-pipe like device allows them to be fired from long distances with great accuracy.

this is one of the tools used by the medical-nin of konohagakure. it resembles a rudimentary sniper rifle, which is used to shoot projectiles such as injection shots to put the target to sleep. it consists of a metal tube roughly the size of a ruler with an opening at either end like a blow pipe and is equipped with a scope on top and a laser-sight on the bottom. the weapon is designed to launch syringes at long range after the user hits the end with the palm of their hand.

the jofuku flower is a medicinal plant that can be found in the jofuku forest at the border of the land of fire. the flower has two very peculiar traits, the first being that the flower has seven different colours and secondly, when uprooted, will release a pollen like substance which takes the form of the target's arch-enemy or whoever they were thinking of at the time to attack and defend the flowers.

this is a huge medical encyclopaedia kept by the nara clan. on the front, the book has the kanji for "deer" on one side, and what resembles the clan's symbol on the other. the members of this clan are apparently skilled in the field of medicine and as such have created and maintained an encyclopedia of sorts with medical herbs, preparations and the effects of such items as the closely affiliated, akimichi clan's three colored pills.

a scalpel is an extremely sharp, small bladed instrument meant to cut through skin, tendons, and muscles. it is used primarily by medical-nin, doctors, or practically any individual with medical expertise to perform surgery. however, due to its sharpness, it could also be used as a potent weapon against a foe.

bells are another tool used by shinobi throughout the series either as part of their fighting style or more supplementary reasons. in konohagakure, some jōnin instructors conduct a test that includes their genin students attempting to retrieve bells attached at their sides called the bell test. the bells are usually used in conjunction with senbon.

this cloth is a common tool used in sunagakure for the cloth binding technique which is used to completely immobilise an opponent. the cloth can also be used in conjunction with the sealing tag in order to seal the opponent. the shinobi are also able to freely manipulate the cloth.

the bingo books are black books used by ninja that contain any and all information on black-listed ninja they are to target. there are multiple versions of the bingo books, the most common being those based from the hidden villages.

these unique tools allow the user to interact with other cats as if they were cats themselves but if it were to fall off, they would once again become distinguishable from cats.

an experimental tool of yukigakure designed to be the ultimate technique for sucking out chakra, this device sucks the chakra out of a captured enemy when it is applied. the device also creates a force field surrounding it, which prevent it from being either removed or destroyed. these abilities prevents the subject from performing ninjutsu in a matter of moments after being applied as well as making the subject loose consciousness momentarily. the subject is, however, not incapable of overcoming device's effects, for example a large burst of tailed beast chakra has been shown to destroy the device.

a device that functions as a telescope. the device allows the user to see the targets from a distance and allows them to find the range between themselves and other objects.

the ninja from the land of the sky use this type of projectile weapon to attack, by launching a barrage of kunai at high speed at opponents, similar to a machine guns. the launcher can be used in conjunction with their winged mechanical devices to perform aerial raids with devastating effects. this is achieved seemingly without diminishing precision.

the hero water is from takigakure and it allows a ninja to have at least a ten-fold increase in chakra for a short period of time. in exchange for this power, the water shortens the user's life span by the number of times his chakra increased. the water is produced once every one hundred years from the giant tree that hides the village.

this item allows the user to instantly extend and retract kunai from their sleeve using a spring-loaded wire.

the kōkinjō is a thick length of rope. by saying the verbal command "bind and draw out" it is able to draw out the word soul of anyone the rope has come into contact with, allowing it to then be severed by the shichiseiken. the command is not mandatory. the kōkinjō will not draw out the word soul of its wielder. the item generates an aura that can take the form of additional ropes, giving it a greater range. the kōkinjō is revered as one of the treasured tools of the sage of the six paths. all five of the tools consume enormous amounts of chakra when used, so much so that normal humans would die after using the tools for only a short period of time.

the lightning barrel is a tool that allows the user to shoot lightning from it. to activate it, the user must tap the barrel against the ground. the barrel will then shoot one bolt of lightning. this is used to give away a user's position so their team-mates can regroup with each other. another use that is shown is the ability to shock others by aiming the barrel at the ground.

a giant drum, specifically, an ōdaiko, used to control konohagakure's mechanical eight trigrams formation technique. when used, the ōdaiko is kept on a horizontal stand on top of the hokage tower. the user bangs on the ōdaiko to activate the technique in order to trap the enemy in a maze of walls. each subsequent beat will activate or deactivate more walls.

this item is a giant metal doll that can be summoned. the metal doll is large and quite heavy.

this device is used by the konoha torture and interrogation force and is located in the konohagakure intelligence division. it is used to amplify the mind reading technique. when this device is used, one person may stay in direct contact with the target while others may also help by placing their hands in the seals located on the device.

the moulding mushroom is a type of mushroom that quickly spreads on a ship's rations during the night. at first, it looks like an edible ordinary mushroom, but after a night of spreading spores, new mushrooms grow in different colors. by eating the mushrooms, a person develops a purple face and mushrooms spread on their bodies. some of the mushrooms devour chakra. when people eat them, they become unaware of their own actions. after the mushrooms' effect disappears by getting out from the sea route of silence, those who have eaten the mushrooms will forget what had happened.

a perfume was created by using from the fields of the new moon flower in tsukigakure. this perfume dispels genjutsu and hypnotism.

ninja info cards are a type of ninja tool where information can be burned on it by using chakra. the cards look blank to the naked eye with the kanji for "shinobi" on the back, but when chakra is applied, various categories of data ranging from information about the five great shinobi countries to the ninja that inhabit them are displayed on the card, even in 3-d. however, only the person who originally burned the data onto the card is able to retrieve it.

BLOOD INCREASING PILL

the blood increasing pill is used by ninja to speed up the formation and increase of blood in the body. after having lost a significant amount of blood in battle, a ninja can use this pill to replenish the blood, so they can keep on fighting.

GENJUTSU PILL

once ingested, the pills will cast a genjutsu on the target that paralyses the body. the drugs also affect the target's mind to some degree.

MILITARY RATIONS PILL

military rations pills are special pills that replenish one's stamina and chakra and nourish the body. it's made up of powerful stimulants and nutrients, said to allow the user to keep fighting for three days and three nights without rest.

MIND AWAKENING PILL

the mind awakening drug was developed to speed up the development of the cursed seal. it forcibly increases the level of the user's cursed seal to level two.

THREE-COLORED PILLS

the three colored pills are secret medicines used in the akimichi clan. as the name suggests, there are three pills, each with a different color. first is the green spinach pill, next is the yellow curry pill, and last is the red chili pill.

the radio is used to communicate with other ninja over a short distance. it is usually used on missions with more than one person.

closed, it looks like a bracelet. once opened, it can repel all types of standard weapons such as kunai.

a giant calabash-shaped gourd covered in designs and filled with chakra infused sand, the gourd and cork are made from sand and can be broken down and used to perform techniques as well.

scrolls come in many varieties of uses. normally, they are used as letters or messages to be sent out, but some scrolls are also suitable for combat. for example, summoning scrolls are activated by the user's blood and allow them to store or summon objects. a summoning contract with a line of creatures is also signed by blood on a scroll.

coming in a variety of shapes and sizes, a shield can be used to block from the most basic of weapons to the strongest ones.

the snowboard is a tool used for quick and easy movements over a snowy environment. it is easy to manoeuvre in a snowy forest. it is red on the outside and has purple markings on the inside. it has two holes with a rope underneath to hold then user while boarding.

wire strings are thin pieces of wires that are highly durable and can be used for a variety of purposes, such as rappelling, manipulating weapons, binding and restricting the movements of an opponent or setting traps.

chakra armor is a unique type of armor that drains chakra from ninjutsu and genjutsu while at the same time amplifies the wearer's chakra. the armor has been shown strong enough to protect its wearer from multiple explosive tags, though it became heavily damaged in the process. despite the advantage it gives the wearer, multiple wearers must be careful not to be too close to one another, as the armor is highly unstable and will explode on contact with another suit. aside from these features, the chakra armor was also endowed with a wristmounted wire-launcher, enabling the user to either quickly move about using the wire, or bind and restrain an opponent.

cloaks are actually some of the most versatile clothing available to ninjas. they can serve many purposes, such as being ceremonial clothing, a sign of status, to conceal one's body and weapons, or as protection from weather. these can also come in a variety of designs.

flak jackets are a form of padded protective clothing designed to provide at least partial protection from things such as blunt-force trauma, shrapnel and other projectiles. for the most part, they have superseded the plate armour widely used by shinobi during the warring states period and the first shinobi world war. they are usually worn by chūnin and jōnin over their normal clothing in most villages, although the design varies among the villages and have also changed over time. the jackets are among the most iconic pieces of shinobi equipment. most of them have pockets or scroll pouches, which can be used to store scrolls, weapons, and supplies.

the full body suit is simply a single form-fitting piece of clothing that covers everything except the feet, hands, and head (although the ones used by the anbu reveal the arms from shoulder down). it seems that it would allow stealthy movements. these seem to have no real downside.

the forehead protector is the headband that is worn by almost every ninja, composed of a metal plate engraved with the symbol of the ninja's hidden village, and normally a band of cloth which can be in different colours. the forehead protector is received once a ninja graduates from the academy, and genin-level or higher ranked ninja are the only ones allowed to have and use them.

used as storage for many tools, hip pouches are necessary for holding an assortment of all the most elementary of ones ninja tools such as kunai, shuriken, scrolls, explosive tags and smoke bombs.

the infinite armor was a unique armored chest plate, fashioned into the shape of a lion's face. this armor has the ability to draw out and absorb the chakra of anyone or anything that comes into contact with it. to extend the reach of the armor's cahkra draining ability, the user can use the armor in conjuction with a specialized flail, that allowed the infinite armor to drain an opponent's chakra through it.

the anbu wear ceramic masks to hide their identities. these masks come in a variety of designs, all of which resemble animal faces. other ninja have also worn masks to conceal their identity. most samurai wear protective masks as a defense against airborne toxins such as poison mist.

konoha medical field ninja are seen sporting their own version of the hip pouch. like their generic counterparts, the medical pouch is worn on the back of the wearer's rear. unlike their counterparts, however, the medical pouch covers the whole width of the wearer's rear-end. this provides the field medical ninja with more space to transport medical supplies into the field to administer emergency first aid.

the konoha medical-nin have been shown wearing an off-white robed outfit over white-beige clothing. this seems to serve no other purpose other than to allow others to discern medical-nin from the usual ninja.

during the era before the hidden villages, ninja wore armor that was similar to that of samurai. it boasted a higher defense than the simple stealth clothing that the shinobi would wear on missions that weren't for battle due to being made of plate armor. shinobi in konoha continued to wear the armor until at least the first shinobi world war, when in the second the transition into flak jackets began. the akimichi clan of konoha seems to have persisted in the use of armor, sometimes even combining it with the current flak jackets.

similar to a hip pouch, the weapons holster is designed for holding kunai and shuriken only. positioned on the thigh, the holster is conveniently placed for the quick-drawing of the kunai or shuriken they carry in combat. bandages were often worn beneath it, most likely to prevent a cutoff of blood circulation.

along with covering the user's entire body, the armor contains a furnace in its back, where the steam is produced. the pressure resulting from this emitted steam can then be used to increase the force behind the user's physical attacks. the exact amount of force produced is proportional to the quantity of steam released, as the greater the volume of steam utilized, the larger the pressure that can be built up within the armor is.

these hats are simply circular hats made out of straw. however, these can be used to hide one's identity, or as a way to protect oneself from unpleasant weather. the hats worn by the kage are similar in shape, but different in composition.
